Our "Mission"

What drives Fabulous Feet Dance Co to be "More than just a dance studio?"

Why are we South Jersey's Premier Dance Studio?

Our dance and performance programs are structured toward your dancer to learn in a way that they can understand for their age and ability level.   The staff of FFDC take pride in providing a joyful, nurturing environment for our dancers and their families.  Our dance programs will assist your dancer to develop physical & social skills, learn rhythmic patterns using their body, obtain accurate dance terminology, channel their energy, stimulate their imagination, learn performance skills, achieve the ability to learn choreography and promote their creativity while instilling self-confidence in them. Our staff members strive to provide the FFDC dancers with a safe environment while enjoying an activity they enjoy.

FFDC dance course curriculum was developed with 25 years experience, extensive education and dedication to educate dancers with proper dance terminology, creative combinations/dance moves, extensive syllabus, improvisation skills, fitness/health safety while learning.  Our curriculum and class material is up to date and provides cutting-edge, upbeat choreography, award-winning competition routines and entertaining recitals. Each class has a customized curriculum, FFDC Instructors class lesson plans are overseen by FFDC’s Artistic Director, Tara Robinson.

The FFDC Instructors have been selected for employment not only for their education achievements or performance/dancing skills but for the multiple years of experience they have instructing dancers in the classroom.  Each one of them have a patient and nurturing personality that enjoys sharing their passion for dance with their students.  Every staff member is an accomplished experienced professionals with multiple accredited awards/accolades in performing arts as well as multiple degrees in Performing Arts or Fine Arts concentration and several up to date dance course certifications. We strongly expect our dance instructors to continue their education and upkeep of their certifications. The staff attends conventions, workshops and take many classes themselves to keep evolving teaching material and their knowledge up to date with cutting-edge choreography for our FFDC dancers to enjoy but more importantly learn from.  Instructors are expected to take pride in their professionalism, behavioral influences and provide an example of positive well-rounded adult our students can look up to.  They must have a strong quality of patience and positivity when teaching our students or representing FFDC in and out of the studio.  Instructors must pass a physical and back round check to become an employee of FFDC and agree to allow FFDC to reserve the right to repeat such processes without notice.

Ms. Tara takes much pride in knowing the studio and the FFDC Instructors can provide a solid dance education to our dancers.  She works hard to provide a “second home” safe, family-friendly environment for the FFDC students/families to enjoy.  Many of them spend multiple hours a week within the studio dancing, volunteering or just visiting.  Most of our students/families have made

life-lasting friendships and think of each other like a big extended family.

A lot of FFDC alumni students come back to visit when they are home from college or just in the neighborhood and miss their friends and Instructors.  Our Alumni students enjoy returning to help with FFDC recitals, events, charitable affairs and regularly take adult classes.   In recent years, a few Alumni students obtained the services of FFDC for their wedding choreography.  In 2014, FFDC officially became a second generation studio and continues to be with many of our Alumni students returning with their own children once they are in need of our services.

In addition to achieving a successful dance program and educating curriculum, a big part of the original FFDC studio mission was not only guiding or providing our youth with a solid dance education experience but giving them a positive safe environment to be kids.  Ms. Tara, FFDC's Owner/Artistic Director wanted to provide the some of the additional opportunities she grew up participating in and performing with.  Tara wanted to provide performance opportunities to her FFDC students like her early childhood studio provided her with.  The goal was to provide FFDC dancers with a similar studio experience she cherishes that hold so many memories and experiences from.  A solid educational service to provide her dancers with a network of professional performance opportunities as they were growing up.  Growing up a performance kid as a dance and pageant competitor, Tara achieved and experienced so many exciting dance related accomplishments.  Her fondest is being a 4 year title holder as

Miss Dance New Jersey 1986-1989.  Tara began performing in National-level dance competitions throughout the country and as regular dancer performing on the Al Alberts Showcase & Chief Halftown televised variety shows at the early age of 2 and continued throughout her teen years.    Dancing amongst Santa and celebrities on Thanksgiving in Philadelphia’s Thanksgiving Day parade was a tradition for Tara as a child and continued for many years once she parented her two girls.  FFDC dancers now carry on that tradition.  With a drive to succeed, Tara wanted to provide her dancers with a similar studio life.  She achieved this goal in the early years of her career before she became a studio owner with 2 of her dancers going on to professional dance and television careers.

Upon opening FFDC, Tara quickly secured her new studio dancers with the right performance skills. This led to multiple experiences for FFDC dancers to compete on a National level. Not soon after she secured the opportunity for her dancers to be regular performers annually on Live television for syndicated broadcasting networks in 5 National parades.  In true form, Tara wanted more but this time she wanted to provide an opportunity to guide her dancers not to lose their focus of the fortunate childhood they were living.  It became a important mission to involve the studio kids with a way of giving back like her "Miss Cathey & Miss Ginny" set the example of when they involved her in the March of Dimes charity.   She began to volunteer outside the studio & performance world with the FFDC dancers.   FFDC charity missions had soon become another studio accolade that made FFDC more than just a dance studio. Witnessing the pride the staff, students/families felt making a difference in the life of someone else soon became a mission FFDC cannot go without.   Showing the dancers by example the importance to give back to their community and surrounding towns is an important part of what we now do at FFDC.  All of the dancers have an opportunity to get involved if they want to volunteer or help FFDC’s charity missions.  Ms. Tara and many students/families have enjoyed volunteering to help clean up the surrounding towns by painting playgrounds and removing trash. FFDC hosted several Lemonade stands to help fund Childhood Cancer research for Alex’s Lemonade Stand organization earning a spot in the top 100 Lemonade stand donation in the country the first time FFDC hosted one.  In addition, FFDC provided assistance and help with gathering donations for local Holiday Toy drives or providing a few local families that were in need of an act of kindness during the holiday season by purchasing them Christmas trees and holiday meals.   Annually, Ms. Tara now organizes some kind of studio-hosted charity events in addition to sponsoring a local youth home by providing kids/teens whose lives are less fortunate than our students with Holiday stockings filled with a few small items kids enjoy but most importantly providing them with everyday living essentials they necessarily may not access to.

Ms. Tara, Mr. Bill and their children along with some of FFDC families assist them in collecting donations and delivering the stuffed stockings to the youth home on Christmas morning.  These events Ms. Tara always strives to make bigger than the year before, this cannot be achieved without the help of the FFDC families.  The FFDC staff volunteer at these youth centers and homeless shelters to provide the kids with a sense of normalcy by providing them with a fun afternoons of dance classes and crafts.   Many of the kids we help do not have the securities that our FFDC dancers are blessed with.  It truly brings sunshine to their lives and keeps our dancers level headed with a sense of gratitude for their everyday blessings.

Our dancers also enjoy spreading joy to Senior centers in both Camden and Gloucester counties during the holidays not just by performing for them but playing scrabble, painting, crafts, or just putting a smile on their face by keeping them company and enjoying their stories.

Every FFDC student is encouraged to “Never to Settle for less than their Best”

and to always “Sparkle, Smile & Shine” &  “Be Kind” not only on the dance floor but in everything they do.

Fabulous Feet Dance Co.’s ultimate mission is to make a difference in a child by educating our dancers in the classroom with a passion for performance & providing them with solid dance instruction/knowledge and performance opportunities.  The Bonus is having the platform to set a positive example to influence our dancers the importance of having compassion, gratitude, kindness and giving back within our communities.  These rewards are bigger than any trophy our dancers could bring home to the studio.  It truly makes Fabulous Feet Dance Co. more than just a dance studio.
